Food

Our Philosophy:

“We believe that the most important ingredients for good food are: love, dedication, creativity, happiness, generosity and olive oil.”

We ensure that our guests eat tasty and healthy food. The meals we offer are prepared with fresh, seasonal, and for the most part, locally grown and produced ingredients. We can provide vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, lactose-free and dietetic food.

We only use fresh ingredients and everything is prepared on the spot, using olive oil (if possible from our own olive trees) and fresh herbs and spices. We buy other food at the local markets, preferably from local vendors.

We have a small vegetable garden so you may be lucky to taste our own tomatoes, wild spinach, lettuce or peppers. In addition, we have organic almond, cherry, apple, nisperos, kaki, plum and lemon trees. We make our own chutneys from our own nisperos and grapes.

Our cherry crumble cakes are made and used with our own cherries, and our almond cakes have our own grated almonds. We pick rosemary and thyme from the hills behind the house and have mint, basil, salvia, oregano and other aromatic plants in our herb garden.

  • Gazpachos of different types (cold Spanish soups made with tomatoe, red beets etc.)

  • Ellen´s Energiser: Fresh ginger-lemon with honey
  • Maria´s secret: Maria Luisa from our garden with some secret spices
  • Magical Mint: Mint-lemon from our garden
  • Green Delight: green tea and mint with a dash of lemon
  • Minty Morroccan but not with as much sugar as the Moroccans add…. 😉

Home-made smoothies:

  • Grape Gossip: grapes, apple, mint
  • Red Rooster: beetroot, red pepper, celery and others (depending on season)
